Hello

I am new to badge collecting and would like to know if anyone could help me with this badge and what regiment it is or attached to

Please post a photo of the rear, its always required when assessing badges as we can tell more about it than the front view.

It is not a genuine badge but a modern copy.

It purports to be some sort of Victorian Rifle Regiment shako badge from the 1860's but I have never seen a real one with a VR cypher in the centre.

I'm afraid that I would be in the same camp as Simon! I think that the badge is a reproduction based on the photos.

thanks for your help as was not sure it was genuine or not. I have been since informed it "belongs" to the Highlands Light Infantry Regiment around the 1860's
