Default Royal Berks Collar Badge

Hello,

I have a pair of Royal Berkshire Regt collar badges, which I'd be interested to read your opinions about. They are of an uncommonly heavy gauge and are marked 'C.W.' on the reverse. Can anyone provide any info or dates on these, please?

That looks like an Officer's Service Dress (OSD) collar badge. No idea about the CW though. I doubt if it was the owner's initials as to stamp the rear of the badge hard enough for a deep impression like that, I would think the badge would have been damaged. Must have been cast into the bronze.
Cheers,
Alex

Many thanks Alex. The C.W. stamp is intriguing!
