Default RP badge ID, please!

Helloo!
We've been trying to find info on our great-grandad, who served in WW1. We have 1 photo of him, in uniform, but no one seems to be able to identify his rank! Every "expert" we've spoken to has given us a different opinion!
He has shoulder title that looks like "RP", though we have been told it could be "HP", "HR", "BP", "BF", etc!
Can anyone help?!

The RF is his regiment not his rank, a full picture would be more helpful for you in giving any information rather than just his shoulder.

Two overseas service chevrons on the right cuff.
I'm not sure if there's an inverted chevron the left?

I have to disagree with you, it is clearly RF.

Have to say it's RF [Royal fusiliers ] for me to, and the inverted stripe on his left arm is for good conduct as far as I was aware ??
His Rank is Fusilier (private)

Yes, I'm just not sure if I'm imagining the chevron?
I'd go with RF with grenade above too.
