Default German Eagle Badge?

This badge turned up with a WW2 iron cross first class. Is it official or maybe a sweetheart brooch? Thanks......

It looks like a nice British sweetheart broach, not German. The Eagle is similar to that used on French standards and by the British Royal Scots Greys.

Thanks for that, would be nice if the "diamonds" were real but as the "gold" is unmarked I think it unlikely :-(
