Default F A R badges

Two badges of the F A R which I believe are the initials of the French Force Action Rapide, which I assume translates as Rapid Action Force!!
I would be grateful if someone could confirm that for me, and tell me which style was worn first - the one with the initials shown, or the one without the initials? If anyone also know the years both badges were worn or introduced for wear, that would also be good.
Thanks for any help.
