Default S and P

There was a discussion about S and / or P stamped on officer's badges either silver complete or silver & gilt, in the Bosley thread.

Here is my meagre KLR offerings - chronologically

Gaunt S&G 1896 Pattern, S seriffed <10>
Gaunt S&G c 1896-1926, Foreign Service badge, SILVER sans serif <298>
Gaunt, S&G, 1926 Pattern, P sans seriffed) <135> and <360>
Gaunt silver, 8th (Irish) Bn, 1939 Pattern (1939-47), SILVER sans serif <240>
Firmin S&G 1950 Pattern, P seriffed <169>
Gaunt, S&G, 1950 Pattern, S sans serif <362>
Gaunt, S&G, 1950 Pattern, P sans serif <170>

Gaunt is predominant and used both S and P (and SILVER)
I assume Firmin has S somewhere ???
