I do not have one of these badges for you to compare,but i do know that there are a few restrikes of this badge about, maybe one of the other members has one(genuine).

These are sold by ebay sellers of fakes. It is a very good match to the one shown in K&K with only the slightest differences in design. In fact worringly good.

Default 5th and 4/5th Bns Seaforth Highlanders

Hello All,
Following on from previous discussions on these badges, here are mine for comparison. I believe they are all genuine. The centre badge is minus a lug, and also more prominent in relief, and that has given it an ovular shape in the scan.

Can someone point out the 'tells' that show good from badge with this badge- I am awaiting one with a pin that has a fault with the letter N. Regards, Paul.
