Royal Ulster Rifles
I was given this badge this afternoon as a gift, it was part of an old collection of about 50 badges of mainly Line Infantry, most of which were right but I am not sure about this one.
Any comments much appreciated. Thanks P.B.

Contempory photos show that it was only officers and WOs of the Airborne Bn who wore this design of badge while the OR's wore the standard full sized badge on red berets. Not sure which ones Sgts wore. The officers' badges were in silver. Alan |

Being the British Army of course there were exceptions, even on a ceremonial occasion (Normandy - July 1944):
