Default Printed Cloth Shoulder Titles - Durham Light Infantry

Picked up these today, a pair of printed DLI titles! In un-cut condition they are printed onto a fabric I've not come across before? It appears to be more elastic than the usual material, or is this just because they are un-used?

As far as I know they are copies, there have been a lot of them about recently.

I agree with Marc, not very convincing copies. the majority of genuine printed titles have a black backing, are much "stiffer" and when found with dotted lines to indicate where to cut them, there are far fewer lines than on the examples shown in post 1. This style of titles can be found by the dozen at Nick Hall's Sabre Sales

Agreed - copies, only "good" in as much as it is easy to identify them as such.
Another genuine example:

Similar to these tho, and they are all listed as reproductions or copies.

Sorry to go off at a tangent here, but I heard a rumour that Sabre Sales is shutting up shop..... Is there any truth in this?

Cheers,

Andy

He's been saying it for about two years, I think he had a 'closing down sale' at Beltring last summer, but still has bits on Ebay.

I might go down to Southsea in a couple of weeks and have a look. You never know what treasure might lay hidden in that Aladdin's cave.
