Default silver R.B

Hi. Two pieces of Rifle Brigade silver i thought you might like to see.
The first by Jennens and Co 1908 [ date letter i ] it has been broached obviously not by one of daves ancesters looking at the mess..lol.
The second is by J.R.Gaunt and son 1942 [letter s ] both with brummy anchor.[ why did they choose a anchor for brum ? is it something to do with all the canals ]

In my little silver book it mentions that the decision was made in the Crown and Anchor pub. Sheffield got the Crown and Birmingham got the anchor. Whether that's true or not........ but, it sounds plausible.

fyi,
DaveC did an absolutely 1st class job of re-broaching a silver badge of mine.... (in fact he done a few) - although I know he has a load of work as he is still catching up after his illness. But, its a thought...
