Default Gurkha collar badges

I was very pleased to have bought these on ebay recently. They were not particularly well described and poorly photographed - but I took a chance and am delighted. They are officers collar badges ( mess dress? ) - I think they date to the early 1950's - very nicely made and I've not seen their like before. They're only about 2cm in size.

Great collection, even better when it exceeds expectation! Thanks for showing - although no where near my collecting field, I always like seeing what others have.....

Not really Steve - although at a £5 each I couldn't resist - also I do like the period straight after independence when the quality of the badges was good and not the horrible tinny things they now wear.

One of the real disappointments about the modern Indian and Pakistani Armies is the really awful quality of the insignia. I love the early stuff - still fine work, some probably even from the traditional [British?] manufacturers used by the pre-47 regiments.
