Default QOR

Here is a recent find, a nice early Queens own Rifles cap badge, no maker mark. And a chrome QOR badge with an unusual bolt attachment, would this be for a cross belt?

The QOR badge is definitely not for the cross belt, as that badge is entirely different than the cap badge. It's perhaps a special run badge for the soldiers who dress wear the traditional 1860's pioneer dress with shakos although from what I've seen they are usually blackened badges.
