Question One for the Norfolk collectors!

I picked this up yesterday at an antique fair, a cast badge with very good clear features such as the trident with separate prongs.

The slider is a bit unusual and the badge appears to be blackened with wear to the high points.

Any thoughts on this badge will be appreciated.

Rob

It appears to be a 'bazaar' badge which has been sand cast.

Default Norfolk badge

Indeed Alan I think you are correct in saying it's a bazaar made badge, but the quality is far better than most sandcast badges I have seen and why is it blackened?

Intended to be a bronzed OSD badge of sorts?
