Default Bedfordshire Regiment Glengarry

Hi Fellow Badgers,
Hope this weekend finds you all healthy wealthy and wise.
Could someone tell me please, when the Bedfordshire regiment first started to wear the Glengarry.
Cheers.

Kev.

Hi Kev,

If this helps, Geoff McWilliam's excellent books on glengarry badges state the following:

- As the 16th of Foot (Bedfordshire Regiment) the other rank Maltese Cross pattern glengarry badge was worn from 12th February 1873. There's no date for officers but presumably same or very close.

- As the Bedfordshire Regt, there's no date quoted other than the usual 1881 one.
