Suspect 'rare' RCAF AE Wing
What to bods think of this (Mike)?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Orig-WW...item4aafec0835 I was quite excited at first, but then I looked closely at the 'E'. Its smaller, more crooked and a slightly different colour to the 'A'. I suspect its an 'AG' wing reworked...? |

Looking closely at the cypher, I agree it does look re-worked as the E looks smaller and "cleaner" than the A........overpriced? of course! as I don't think they ever existed......show me a pic of one in wear and I'll be a believer

I tend to agree with Mike, I've seen many single-wing badges but never once spotted this one. I suspect that it MIGHT have been a sample of a proposed post-war Wing that was never authorized/produced (which would make it one of a kind).
I don't know about anybody else, but I'm only interested in ones that were actually worn by RCAF members. |

xxx xxxxx did a similar thing with WWII Rhodesian wings. Only difference was that he sold them for hundreds of pounds.

I am agree with the comments. The RCAF is different stitching than the AE. That is a sign of a badge being cooked up. The backing is wrong too. Stay away, it will fetch a lot for a suspect wing at best.
