Very nice.

I've a couple of Canadian armoured coins and always looking for more.

Got lots of Aussie armoured coins in my collection - will post pics if anyone is interested.

Hi Mick

I'd look at your Cdn Armd ones and maybe even the Aussie ones too.

There are so many challenge coins now, it's obscene. I get it; cheap easy way to recognize but man oh man, there are these coins everywhere now. May as well collect real coins!!

regards
Darrell

Here's my collection and some spares (picture on right).

Happy to trade spares for other Aussie or Canadian armoured corps coins I don't have.

Hi Mick

Nice collection.

In your first photo, I recognize your Cdn ones. The Corps 75th and School 75th are particularly nice. Are they numbered? The RCACS kit shop sells un-numbered versions.

Not sure what the other is (top left) as there were repeats using the common logo. Also, in your second photo there is a tank in front of the afghan colours; may we see that one a bit better? Is it Cdn?

Sorry, I have none to trade though. I only have coins given to me.

regards
Darrell

I got those Canadian ones of mine from the RCACS kit shop.

That tank one is a 1st Armoured Regiment (Australia) coin - those are their regimental colours (they also never went to Afghanistan). Will try and post pic when I get a chance.

Hi

Another addition from RCACS.

Same on both sides. Made of wood! Helluva good idea for quick cheap and easy coins.

Hi D.J.

I can't answer your question but the one you show is the same as mine on page 1. All Dragoons were given one and it stands to reason that some or all the Old Guard got them. Glad-handed out by the bosses too, no doubt. A gift from the Guild of the RCD. I certainly don't recall anyone ever challenging anyone with it. When I served there was only one coin for that.

Can't say what year on that RCD one either. Maybe 1989. Maybe 1992.

regards
Darrell

Hi

Another addition.

The Adv Warfare Centre in Trenton recently reached out to me.....Ok, ok, it was their Kitshop!!

Turns out that a course I took and a skill I employed a lot, as a much younger soldier, allowed me to pay them for a "limited run" serialized coin.

The email was so earnest and honest (and the price was pretty reasonable) that I said to myself why not. Proof of qual req'd, Payment made, order updated throughout and duly delivered by recorded post in good order.

https://thekitshop.ca/

No movement on an Aerial Deliv Spec coin though. I guess neither of those courses are much run anymore

For your information.

regards
Darrell

Hi Ed

Lol, all in good fun, honest.

Probably not needed anyway as your skills in photography far outweigh mine!!

Hi

As an attendee at a recent gathering of old, retired blackhats, I came away with something nice from the hosts and sponsors.

...and a good time was had by all.
