ANZAC Bits and Pieces.
These were found in an antique shop in Tasmania as the plaque explains.

Thanks Chaps, not mine unfortunately, I'm re-framing them for a customer.

The plaque with the provenance detail makes all the difference in the world.
Someone knew the difference between history and hoarding! Nice work that man! Mark

What does the head stamp read on the bullets.

A very nice collection. Unfortunately the NZ badge at the top left hand corner belongs to the NZ Temporary Staff, that was formed during WW2, not WW1. Refer Oldham 7/22.

Hello Phil and Magpie,
I cannot see the headstamps because the bullets are recessed into the brown felt and tied in with army issue thread. As I said before these are not mine I'm just putting them in another frame. The WW1 trio medal ribbons look to be a later addition, as does the white/blue "patch". Phil. Last edited by Drummajor; 11-10-19 at 10:08 PM. Reason: Adding a photo |
