It looks good to me apart from the fact its £10 too much, I can't see why he's called it an officers badge as its slidered.... it does look unusually tall from the shape but that's me clutching at straws.

Malc can you help?

Cheers,

Luke

You're right, they're called blades. Strange thing is this seller is pretty experienced and should know that, I think it was Alan who noticed another discrepency in a description of a badge in his listing earlier... I wonder what's up with him?

I have had 1910 - 37 RB officers badges in hallmarked silver with sliders , blades & lugs . Probably down to which jeweller/maker they were bought from .

I haven't seen an ossifers badge in silver with a brass slider , if silver plated , as some NCO were wont to do , I would expect the blade to be plated as well .

Having bought from this seller in the past I class him as one of the good guys , if a trifle dear , but anyone can make mistakes .

Having looked at the badge it is more likely to be silver plate rather than silver and poss an N.C.Os badge, if you look closely at the back it looks like it has remains of the pink stuff, soldiers friend.
Still a nice example.

Cheers
