Default Electrician (Air) vs. Air Mech/Fitter (Electrical)?

Can anyone shed light on the difference between the jobs of an Electrician (Air) and Air Mechanics/Air Fitters (Electrical).

Was it simply an issue of time? In that, as I understand it, Air Mechanics and Air Fitters (Electrical) were during 1939-1948, and Electrician (Air) were post-war largely during 1948/51-1969 ? Would Air Mechs/Fitters (L) have become Electricians (Air) at some point?

Insights appreciated!

Going off medal groups I have Electricians were post war and WW2 and Pre war in the Fleet there were Electrical Artificers.I have no records from this period as both Electricians I have, have service numbers with an X and therefore the service records have not been released.I cannot comment on the Fleet Air Arm but would think it is the same.
