Amazing coincidence!!!!
I have had an interest in The Kings Liverpool Regiment ( badge the White Horse of Hanover) for more than 50 years.
I have also since retiring become interested in family history. I knew that a distant relative Joseph Elliot a Chemist/Druggist came to Liverpool from Cumberland and at one time had a go at being a Licensed Victualler. I have been trying to find the name of his pub and today I found that it called “The White Horse”. That was later than the date I know he was there but a good chance that was it’s name when he was the Licensee. It’s a small world and life is full of coincidences. P,

A white horse goes into a pub and asks for a pint of bitter.
The Landlord says "We have a whiskey named after you." To which the horse replies "What, Eric?" |
