Curved aluminum plaque marked Indian army

Hello

I know this is not a badge, but could anybody perhaps identify the origins of this WWII era aluminum plaque with Indian army markings?

A quick google search says Bole Brothers supplied medical apparatus, not sure if that helps?

I had searched google, but didnt find the medical devices link. Indeed, there is a Bole brothers company in Mumbay supplying medical devices nowadays. Perhaps it is the same company.
The curvature of the aluminum plaque could perhaps match that of a human limb. Maybe it is part of a splint, or something along those lines?
I will try contacting the company.

Looks like a form of "Gooch Splint" , I've seen plastic ones used in conjunction with a "Thomas Splint" to stabilize fractured femur (thigh bone).

Very interesting possibilities.
The lack of any screws or signs of attachements on this piece of aluminum make this medical theory seem very likely. I will try to find some way of confirming exactly what this is.
