Default Staffordshire Yeomanry?

I know this badge has been discussed before, and I recall some confusion as to whether it is Staffs Yeo. or a school badge. This is an old badge with some polishing wear and is definitely not cut off from a S. Staffs badge.

Staffs Yeo were in brass both with QVC and then with K/C. It is attributed to a school OTC in w/m but that is not a certainty.

From the photos I’m not 100% convinced that badge did not start out life as a South Staffs Regt.

As Alan says the Staffs Yeo wore GM badges.

Good eyes Luke. Under an eyeglass, I do note these marks which of course should not be there. Someone took some trouble to do this, but why is something else.
