Default Opinions on Cameronians Pouch Badge

I received this today. It looks OK to me but I am no expert. The lugs look OK, it's quite a heavy badge and the strike looks OK to me.

Would be grateful of opinions for this one and if it's a dud what to look for in an original.

Thanks Bill

Bill,

Its dud in my opinion and as far as I know possibly a fantasy badge that never actually existed.

Happy to be corrected.

regards

Throughout my years of collecting Scottish Badges, I was told this badge is a fantasy, I hope that I am wrong, this badge is also seen in whitemetal and brass.

Phil.

I havn't seen a silvered or chromed one piece version before, I have this, which I view as a fake / repro example, bimetal with two lugs.

The rear is very smooth, lacking in detail.

Thanks for your input guys.

I didn't know this was a fantasy badge. Will make a note of that, luckily I didn't pay much for it so it will go into the junk box.

Thanks again, Bill
