ID Help Please - stumped

Hi everyone.

A friend brought me this locket he came across. And I am unable to identify it for him, so hoping someone out here with more expertise than myself could shed some light on it. I’m certain it’s Canadian military but need a little more information than that if possible. Thank you in advance for all your help

Ideally he would like to know what branch, general age etc.

The locket has the crest of the Canadian Armoured Corps on it. The CAC was organized in 1940 and the designation was changed to the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps in 1945. That would date the piece to the Second World War.
