Default CEF 10th Mortar Battery Cap Badge

Brand new to this forum and I thought I would start my first thread with this badge. This came from a collection of 107 CEF badges gathered by a WWI US soldier that I recently acquired. I can find reference to an 11th Battery but not a 10th in this pattern. Any comments? Will post a few more, this I believe is the rarest of the bunch.

Hello Austin Militaria, welcome to the Forum.
The 10th TM in the oval pattern is noted in the Charlton Standard Catalogue of First World War Canadian Corps Badges. It also was made in a design with trench mortars on a maple leaf.

Hi Austin M, Is the badge white metal? It is hard to tell the finish from the image.

No, it is a gold finish. Here is a better pic.
