Looking for 184th Battalion CEF badges

I am looking for cap and collar badges for the 184th Battalion, CEF. I normally don't venture into WW1 territory (my collection is primarily WW2 militiaria, with a particular interest in items with a Manitoba connection). The 184th Battalion had its origins in my hometown of Manitou back in 1916 and I would like to add something to my small collection that represents it.

There is a 184th on Vernon's Collectibles web site. Did you check with Marway Militaria, or Lou Grimshaw? They may have something.
The 184th is an example of the unique design of Canadian CEF badges. The bison is a unique Canadian motif. A neat badge.

I have already checked two of those three sources.

I stopped in at Marway earlier this morning and picked up a single collar (see attached). I did see the cap badge on Vernon's website and already have it bookmarked. I am going to call Lou Grimshaw tomorrow to see if he has anything. I would like to find a matched pair of collars if possible.

When looking for insignia, one should really shop around. Compare prices and check the dealer reputation. I have found bargains in the oddest places.

For reference so you can recognize original badges this is my part set.101% ww1 .The cap badge is by Dingwall Winnipeg. The collar badge is bladed .I have a number of caps and collars with these double ended blades rather than lugs.Hope the pics help.Good hunting,

Yeah, I came across this one a while back. Nice badge, but I am pretty sure I can find one for significantly less than his asking price.

Yes I'm sure by checking other dealers auctions ect., you could fined a better price as I have done in the past.

I'm originally from LaRiviere. I have my grandfather's badge, medals with ribbons, bible and sporran. I also have my father's WWII medals with ribbons. I'm not interested in selling but I will keep my eyes open. I'm involved in the Legion and we often have families giving us things when a Veteran parent or grandparent passes on.
