That is the badge design of Master at Arms. The green fern fronds may indicate that this is a RNZN badge.

NZ does have MAAs and they are the most senior rating.

Thanks Barry

That was quick , Ive been looking for several days.

I received a package from Washington of mixed lot mainly NZ patches,Rank ,SAS from the late 70's to early 90's, thus was the last rating to be ID.

Barry I have done a search on google box re RNZN Mater At Arms and there is CPOMAA , however it shows epaulettes.

I take it this could be Dress uniform?

cheers

Phill

The badge in question would have been worn on the collars of the jacket.

Hi,
Yes, I understand this to be RNZN MAA. I have seen a few badges like this but have yet to see one being worn.

The only photo I have of a RNZN MAA is attached

Thank you for the confirmation Nichollg.

It seems to be a rare rating badge, probably obsolete(?) these days.

Wonder if it is from the 80's-90's era.

cheers

Phill
