I would have thought that a UK made officer's badge would have had a better looking back.

I'm no expert but the back doesn't seem right to me.

I am not comfortable with that badge. The overlay looks "grainy", and the wire attachment for the overlay is odd looking.

I would also have expected the bidding to be much higher than it is now if it was a legit badge.

My gut instinct says its not right.

I'm not good at making decisions on good & bad badges I can't seem to say more than I like this one & I don't like the other, but I'm not comfortable with this one shown here. I just don't know why. I got most of my badges before there were any duds around & I never had to make these decisions. Yes mick I can see a clump of metal (or what looks likemetal)at 11 0-clock. The badge shows up gold colour on my monitor so it's hard to say much.

While I've been watching this one with interest I was also bidding onE that was hidden in a lot of modern British items... 310197099597... I tried to bottom fish the lot with a bid of 117 pounds and thought I had it but was clipped at the end for 119 pounds... the seller probably got a big shock when the lot went for that but was probably under priced by 100 pounds... hope someone on the forum got lucky with it.... ( don't feel sorry for me as it would have been my third VIII RECCE)
