I saw this one too...quite a novel way of raising doubts.....no one's gonna pay £1,000 for HIS badge anyway....but if they did......?????

Hello,
The gentleman in question, has very cleverly set this up to expose the con artist who is selling these fakes. I hope more people will follow suit, to expose the crooks on eBay and help stop the countless buyers who get ripped off daily. Kind regards, Trog22

It is quite an interesting example though in that ALL their (GWR) helmet markings SHOULD be the same...unlike a lot of Companies, GWR laid down the Spec. in the Handbook...but even then there were variants...even in period pics. I know nowt about badges (sorry) but is there a possibility of regional variations / non-compliances?
I'm not trying to kick open a door here or give "wrong" items any credence...
