I think this chap is an Hussar. Anyone know which unit?

Interesting that his pelisse is worn over his right shoulder, as it was traditionally worn over the left.

You are right there Jon. Hussars were very colorful. The first hussars wore wolf skins instead of a pelisse, and the famous Polish Hussars (really armored heavy cavalry) wore leopard skins instead of a pelisse.

Yes, a mix mash of various continental Hussar items in my opinion. Little, if any of it, appears to be British.
