I noticed the followed today in the FPS e-newsletter:

The Last Post
Arthur Lane joined the Manchester Regiment in 1936 when he was sixteen. In 1938 in Palestine he received a bugle and until the end of the war sounded the last post at more than 3,000 burials. In 1957 his bugle was exhibited in the Ladysmith museum and then sold and that was the last time he saw it. Can anyone tell him if they have seen it. As a POW he scratched his name on the brass surround and soldered his cap badge to the bell.

Someone must know something about this?
Mike
