WRNS had crossed hammers for "Technical Workers" Perhaps one of our Navy collectors might know if this is one?

They look like crossed fire axes to me, not hammers.

Default Crossed Hammers ID Please

They are indeed crossed axes rather than crossed hammers.

It is the Royal Australian Navy Fire Fighters badge.

Your example is the gold wire version for No. 1 Dress and is a fairly old example. I have attached an image of the modern blue on white version worn on the white uniform.

I have attempted to try and date your badge but unfortunately I have not had any success. Purely from the look of it I would say it is 1950s or 1960s but don't hold me to that! However, I have discovered that the RAN Firefighter badge is apparently now obsolete. Hopefully you will have a bit more luck at your end!
