Royal signals

So the champ is next on the ramp, I can see a royal signals colour plate on the left, but what’s the one on the right. Any ideas anyone. Thanks andrew

I admit I know nothing about either vehicles or their markings, but as a badge nut one looks like the DZ flash worn by Royal Signals and the other looks like the Royal Signals stable belt colours. So from a position of complete ignorance, BOTH Royal Signals.

however the white/blue is Royal Signals, the one on the right is the stable belt colours but at that time used as a DZ flash for Airborne Signals - Regards Mark

You are probably aware that there a number of Internet sites covering the Austin Champ including a register of surviving vehicles. Also, on a repayment basis, it may be possible to obtain information via the on-line Royal Logistic Corps museum which has digitalised records on British Army vehicles. I believe you need the chassis or engine number etc to trace.
