Hello. Thanks for the reply although not the reply I was hoping for, like I have previously said the vast majority of my collection was purchased in the early 1970s from then a reputable dealer from Surrey so I was expecting to receive genuine badges, But only now after joining this forum I have come to find out there are fakes amongst them, so this is very upsetting to me. I have also some Manchester Regiment badges as well, do you mind if I get your opinion on these badges?.
Thank you.
Peter.

Would you care to name this "reputable dealer" I can't speak for others here, but, given the blatant copy here and the LRDG you showed the other day, I would certainly be very interested to know which comedian sold these.

Peter,

Unfortunately I can see an all too familiar sad theme developing here. I have attached a photo of some regular Bn cap badges. There are a couple in there that yours should look like.

Frank is right, tell us where you got these badges from.

regards

I remember the name, I think he is the man in the attached advert from a publication called Militaria Collector of which a few editions were published in the early 1970`s before it folded.

Hello Peter,
No, like Simon, sadly, I have not heard of him, I was collecting in the seventies, from about 1976, but, I would have only been about seven years old, none the less, original badges were available for very little and in quantity too.
What sort of money were you paying back then?
Regards Frank

Good heavens Simon,
Those are super, I don't think I've got a good printed title despite remembering to look this year on a number of occasions.

Thanks Peter,
Well, he does not claim "original" but, notwithstanding, this is in The Bulletin, so I feel that Peter should have certainly expected something rather better than what he received!
Regards Frank
