Maker mark looks to be W M Dowler & Sons.

Hallmark is for Birmingham 1952. (Coronation mark was optional)

Hi

Probably the maker's mark is for W M Dowler & Sons (1897-1940), Birmingham. Mention is made of them producing "military items".

Looks like maker's mark was used after 1940 (by sons ?) as date letter is for 1952.
