Default RAF WO rear hexagonal fitting cap badges

Hi all again,

Attached are a couple of images of RAF WO cap badges I have. Both have rear hexagonal fittings.

I would appreciate any comments on whether they are genuine. If so, could they be early RAF?

Although the badge images suggest a size difference they are basically the same. From the front they are almost identical, the main difference is the way the rears are finished.

The brass one weighs 18.47g and the bronze coloured one is 13.46g. It has been suggested to me previously that the latter may be brass coated with bronze.

Regards,

Graham
