Out of focus cap badges
Five of my uncles fought in WW1. Two were with the Kings Royal Rifle Corps, one was with the Buffs, one was with the RFC/RAF and the other with the RNVR. The 3 in the army were killed in action, one in 1915 and 2 in 1918. One was killed 1 week before armistice. I have photos of two of them, but the cap badges do not appear to be the KRRC or the Buffs, although the definition is of very poor quality. I also have a photo of the 3rd Uncle and his cap badge is the Buffs.
Does anyone have any idea from the shape as to what regiment my Uncles belonged to. |

In the first and fourth photographs I'm pretty confident that it's the cap badge of the East Surrey Regiment...

Second left front row looks to be Royal Artillery.
Cheers Tony.

I think it pretty definite that the last photo on the right is E. Surrey. He is wearing the late war slip on shoulder titles as well. A very slight fellow.
I also think there is a RA badge on the man sitting as well. Just can't make out the other badges, but several could be possible. CB
