Hi,
This is "The New Zealand Regiment", formed in 1947. Looking at Oldham's book, it was reorganised into the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regt in 1964, so I assume it dates sometime from post 1953 and pre 1964? For ref, it is Oldham #6/168, although he does not show a picture of it. It also came in guilt, silver wash and enamel. Oldham has it worth €10, but his book was from 2011. I am no expert in Kiwi badges, but I am sure others will be along to give you more/better info cheers, Tim

Kura Takahi Puni-We are ready
The 1st Battalion NZ Regiment Formed Waiouru July 1957 from the reactivated 1st & 2nd Battalions of the NZ regiment. (which was initially formed in Jan 1947 while part of J-Force, but had been disbanded on return to NZ)
The Battalion deployed to Malaya in November 1957. Here is the badge on felt pennants:

2nd Battalion NZ Regiment
The 2nd battalion NZ Regiment was reformed in July 1959, with the purpose of relieving the 1st Battalion.They deployed to Malaya in November 1959, the Malayan Emergency officially ended in July 1960. Here is a closeup of detail on 2 Battalion flag:
