Scottish patch?
I recently received the Battle dress here with such markings. I would ask gentlemen to identify patches of tartan.

Could you give some details of the pattern and date of the battledress blouse and any rank badges, qualification badges and medal ribbons on it.
Thanks, Mike |

Queens Tartan
An interesting and unusual pair of badges.
The tartan shown was worn as an arm badge by 101 Engineer Regiment, Royal Engineers (TA) between 1964 and 1967, although I have yet to discover why a London-based RE unit wore a tartan patch. When the TA became the TAVR in 1967 the remains of the regiment were redesignated/became 10th (Territorial) Bn The Queen's Regiment who would have worn the Queen's title shown. All this points to a post-1967 BD worn by a member of 10th Queens who had formerly served with 101 Engineer Regiment. Are there any medal ribbons which migt confirm Territorial service? Any other suggestions welcome. Postwarden |

Uniforms are the indications of lieutenant. Manufacturer on the label is the date 1955. Besides, there are no other markings or medals.
What is strange to me, tartan is only one sleeve. Cezary |

Tartan
The tartan here is not like a Scottish one which was worn on both arms in place of a shoulder title. This is a TA regimental arm badge and should only have been worn on one arm, usually the left. Which arm is this one on please?

Taratn
Further research shows that 101 Regt formed C Coy of 10th (T) Queens. The tartan may have been retained to distinguish C Coy from the others in 10th Bn.

The tartan is possibly Hunting Stewart or Mackenzie.

From another book Hunting Stewart look the most likely.
