Default Need help identifying 2 British military buttons

Hi everyone
Dug these 2 days ago, been in ground at least 150yrs

I thought the dragon button might possibly be the '3rd regiment of foot'

The other button with Crown and letter R unsure of. maybe artillery button.

Hi Relic Hunter,

You are correct in identifying the 3rd Regiment of Foot. I don't think this regiment served in the New Zealand Land Wars but could be wrong.

The second button is a Victorian General Service button, QVC/VR cypher.

Where did you find them?

Cheers, Tinto

Hi Tinto
Thanks for the info.
Yes i dont think they served in NZ either however i did see they were in Australia and during the NZ land wars we got a lot of soldiers from Australia coming over. so maybe he came over. its a small button
They were found at a 1864 camp in nz, where i have found a multitude of relics.
