Default Pipers, Badges

In the "Pipers' Badges" there is a plaid brooch which says "P/M 32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment plaid brooch as worn by P/M John Taylor and Captain Billy Wardrope". However, the Pipes & Drums of 32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment - and the 40th (Ulster) Signal Regiment - were disbanded in 1999 when the Royal Corps of Signals got its Corps Pipes & Drums. John Taylor, P/M of 40th (Ulster) Signal Regiment since 1995 became the first P/M (1999-2007) and was succeeded by P/M Billy Wardrope (2007-2009). Is the plaid brooch shown pre- or post-1999?
