Default U.S. National Defense medal

Bought this ( miniature ?) Medal and on all the examples I found on line have completely different ribbons.

Can anyone please say if different ribbons were used to denote different campaigns and if not what ribbon is on this Medal.

Thanks in advance.

P.B.

It look like the suspension bar is home made, not what is expect for a medal.

Definitely not the correct ribbon. The correct ribbon, for all campaigns, is red with a yellow centre stripe edged in red, white and blue, as shown on this page : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nation..._Service_Medal. No idea what the ribbon is that's on the medal.

The suspension bar should be a ring.
