Some of the military related things we saw today.
Anyone know what pistol the very small leather holster is for please ? ( on second post) P.B.

Gerard, I think it is too small for that but may be wrong, I have now spotted a feint date stamp 1917. Peter

Possibly a .38 instead of a .45 calibre pistol

Peter,
I suggest the holster is of the Sam Browne pattern but obviously smaller than the more usual pattern for the .455 Webley MkVI. Officers bought their personal equipment, including personal weapons, so perhaps an officer purchased a pistol which required a smaller purpose made holster. Tim

It may be for a smaller caliber like .32 if the officer was of small stature
|
