Default NRB ? can anyone identify ?

Hi
This badge came from an old frame of mainly Boer War vintage badges. Can anyone recognise it ?

Not sure Mike, but scroll looks more like PVRB than NRB

Crown looks European but if it comes from a Boer War collection, then possibly Dutch?

White metal I've always associated with "volunteers". Have you thought of entering various versions of the initials into....sigh....Google?

That crown is referred to using various names such as Indian or Looped, but, it was commonly used on badges worn by both British Imperial and Colonial regiments and corps.

I don't see NRR there, their badges were generally quite easy to see the similarity between the 'R's but the end letter on this is totally different to the R, still looks like ?VRB to me. IVRB; SVRB; JVRB or even PVRB.
Indian Volunteer RB?

I have seen a Victorian Indian badge to an Railway Battalion. I think that it sported a similar crown as suggested by Frank. Maybe it is one of those
