Hello there,

I’d be interested to hear from anyone may served in 22 SAS or have any nominal SAS rolls for any of the following campaigns or ops. I need some help with a project I’ve been working on for the last five years or so.

Dhofar
Op Nimrod
Falklands
Gulf
Sierra Leone

Private messages ‘only’ please due to the subject matter.

Realistically would anyone in the SAS as recently as those conflicts A) without knowing you identify themselves as former SF and B) give you a list of names of colleagues. Genuine question.

If I was a traffic warden I wouldn’t admit it on here even by PM...

P.S. not SF myself, nor a traffic warden. I’m just a cook, promise.

Maybe being a chief you should go and cook off and do something useful
I was NOT SF but was involved in the Dhofar campaign in 1974 but I think that due to your rather rude reply to Luke I am not going to pass any info on to you.

Well said, I couldn't agree with you more. Right out of order.

You know the old saying if you don't ask then you won't know. There's nothing like trying even if it would be futile.

Dave,

Sorry long shift in the kitchens today

It’s ok, apology accepted. No offence intended on my part, just a bit of light hearted joviality.

Hoot & engr - cheers chaps.

Akiko - couldn’t agree more! Don’t ask, you don’t get as they say.
