Default Scots Guards Chrome Cap Badge With Screw Post Fittings

Anyone any idea what this might be ? It's the same size as a standard Scots Guards cap badge but is either chrome or chrome plated and instead of lugs has two screw post fittings (East and West) to the rear, a pouch badge perhaps ? Once identified it will be offered for sale, thanks in advance

I had something similar for the Lancastrian Brigade, then nearest I could get to identifying the use was a Gaunt regimental car badge like they used to have on badge bars or radiator grills.

Could be from an SG pipers belt or similar. It's got the narrower star Ray's compared to the cap star.

I would go with Peter, looks like the central device of a car badge.

Almost certainly from a Gaunt car badge. I have the central part (only) from this Life Guards version which has the threaded posts and was probably made by Gaunts using the cap badge dies.
