Default RA Grenade badge

Hi Tony, I have a couple of those and found the explanation in one of 54Bty's many albums. Apparently only worn by one unit of the RA (and I forget which!) Cheers, DJ.

A Gilt and Silver Royal Artillery grenade worn by Officers on the Khaki General Service Cap (issued and private purchase) also on the later khaki version of the beret.

Also worn as a collar badge (without the backing) by 268th (Warwickshire) Field Regiment Royal Artillery (Territorial Army) 1950-1956.

The badge is 1½ inches high.

54Bty thanks for information must have missed your reply!
Inch and a half matches perfect my badge, I have seen on Gilt and Silver in a larger size without backing maybe two inches. Would this be a cap or collar?
Best regards Tony.

Larger badge I mentioned in post #4, in fact has two extra flames at front of badge ,therefore I assume it is a Royal Engineers Officers Collar!
Regards Tony.
