It's an Atholl bonnet.
Worn by the Lovat Scouts, Scottish Horse and the private Army of the Atholl Highlanders, I think that's it, others will probably know more than me.
Hope this helps
Chris

Yes,its an Atholl bonnet. Dont think its to the Lovats though. Im sure theres has a lighter blue toorie (bobble) and a blue and white chequered band.
I have a feeling it could be Seaforth. I have an image from the 60s of it being worn. Need to check .

The Lovats wear an Atholl like this one.

Paul,it could be. Some items were worn by more than one regiment or battalion within a regiment.
Is there any sign that a badge has been fixed to it at any time ? A shadow in the cloth or holes in it ?
