Default Liverpool Scottish Bombers badge

Following on fron a recent thread, I found a couple of bits of information about the bombers badge.

Firstly the proposed two designs and secondly a note about the cloth backings to the badge.

Great Info Peter,
I’ve seen a couple with what I thought was old black cloth backing although they may have been dark blue but I’m guessing the blue in the article may be different.

Are there any extent photos showing this badge in use? At any rate, I would presume the "blue" is the normal royal blue, which is nearly black, but can be discerned in outdoor light.

Yes, those drawings are in the National Army Museum - which did the Regt choose....


I don't think that the 'rejected one' was never actually made !
