Liverpool Scottish Bombers badge
Following on fron a recent thread, I found a couple of bits of information about the bombers badge.
Firstly the proposed two designs and secondly a note about the cloth backings to the badge. P.

Great Info Peter,
I’ve seen a couple with what I thought was old black cloth backing although they may have been dark blue but I’m guessing the blue in the article may be different. Paul |

Are there any extent photos showing this badge in use? At any rate, I would presume the "blue" is the normal royal blue, which is nearly black, but can be discerned in outdoor light.

Yes, those drawings are in the National Army Museum - which did the Regt choose....
I don't think that the 'rejected one' was never actually made ! |
